I am but a dream...
a dream which has existed as for as long as Mankind has been able to think... and imagine...
My playground is the world you create, my bond with you as intimate as your most secret desires ... I take the form as you see me, speak the voice as you hear me and say the things you wish of me.. My gifts are those you bestowed on me.. The things you fear of me are your own fears you surrendered to me...
I am as powerful, magical, wonderful and terrible as only you can make me.. nothing more... but certainly less... for I am a figment of your imagination...
I have no real power to affect the things that should matter to you. I cannot give you food; I cannot heal the sick, nor bring back the dead, prevent wars, make peace, give or receive love. I cannot give physical comfort nor emotional strength...
So be careful young one.... that you play too long with me... for human life has a finite term... you would have used too much of that insignificant life time which you cannot spare and fail to make to make a difference to your fellow humans.. real beings of flesh and blood...
THAT was the lesson...
didn't turn out the way I saw it first.. the background was a real pain to paint.. I think I tried three types of background before settling on this... the earlier ones made the dragon stick out like a sore thumb.. and I have to admit I still need to work on my foliage and trees.. *sigh*
there are still some issues ...but laziness won...
