I showed this painting to three friends and all of them focused on the stormy clouds
I wish I can do traditional as well..
Actually the gull is just playing with the wind...
This was a referenced from a low resolution shot I had of sunset in Alexandria, Egypt...
It's winter and its constantly raining with gale force winds..
I love cloud formations this is a really cool painting for me.
The pyramids, the people, the wealth of history from all those civilisations.. street art from graffiti in Cairo to frescos and mosaic murals in Alexandria, biblical, Quranic sites, religious monuments living used and steeped in time...
.. and the people.. and the riots.. and the rubbish.. the cats, the donkey and horse carts, and traffic jams..
its chaotic, beautiful, old and enigmatic... caught in time warp and struggling to regain its future...
The sky and desert in Cairo... the clouds and the sea in Alexandria..
most likely be going again next year.. my daughters there in Cairo.. will be in the next 6 years, God willing...
