The pyramids, the people, the wealth of history from all those civilisations.. street art from graffiti in Cairo to frescos and mosaic murals in Alexandria, biblical, Quranic sites, religious monuments living used and steeped in time...
.. and the people.. and the riots.. and the rubbish.. the cats, the donkey and horse carts, and traffic jams..
its chaotic, beautiful, old and enigmatic... caught in time warp and struggling to regain its future...
The sky and desert in Cairo... the clouds and the sea in Alexandria..
most likely be going again next year.. my daughters there in Cairo.. will be in the next 6 years, God willing...
Wow I so believe you. Very rich culture indeed! My best friend got to go last year. *sigh* I just can't afford travel at the moment. But Egypt is definitely in my wishlist. Someday, God-willing.
