Writer's Block
Writers’ Block; a literate’s bane,
It leaves the best of brains spewing words in vain.
It intercepts its victim’s creation
suspending the schematics in stagnation.
The shattered lights leave ideas in the dark,
snuffing out the imaginative sparks.
It’s crushing weight depletes one’s strength;
makes it hard to rhyme or tell stories of length.
Atop this obstacle sits real life stress,
so the pen can’t align, the hand can’t design,
and keys can’t type lines under all the duress.
For now the block has removed my renown,
but when my mind is mended I’ll break it down.
